Frequently asked questions

The donor portal is a service provided by the Matchis Foundation, whereby people who are registered as a stem cell donor can see and change their personal details, when required. Donors can do things like change their address details and see what their HLA type is. It is also possible to provide any change in prescribed medication or weight.

Certainly. That is exactly what the donor portal is for. If you have moved house since you registered, you can amend your address details yourself.

In the donor portal you will find your name, gender, address, email address, phone number and your date of birth. You will also be able to find the status of your registration.

The Donor Portal uses a secure connection to retrieve your data. Your login is a combination of your telephone number or e-mail address and your date of birth and is validated by sending a verification code to the e-mail address or telephone number known to Matchis. You cannot log in without this code.

Your login is based on the e-mail address or telephone number that you provided to Matchis with your donor registration, in combination with your date of birth. You will then receive a verification code by text message or email with which you must log in.

It could be that your name is registered in a different way at your bank than it is at Matchis. This could be your maiden name, another middle name, another use of letters (ij or y), etc. Get in touch with Matchis about this and we will look in the donor bank and discuss how we can amend this. Of course we are unable to amend your bank details for you.
